Preferred bidders for Bonnyton House pull out

The preferred bidders for Bonnyton House have withdrawn their offer to purchase it has this week emerged.


East Renfrewshire Council is now set to engage in negotiations with other bidders.


The sale was only approved on 14 December 2016.


Annual Report hitting doormats across Eastwood

Jackson Carlaw has begun delivery of his first Annual Report as the MSP for Eastwood, having previously represented West of Scotland since 2007.


The Annual Report compiles many of the local issues Jackson Carlaw has been involved in since being elected in May 2016.


Council votes for privatisation of Bonnyton House

East Renfrewshire Councillors yesterday voted to approve the privatisation of Bonnyton House, the only public residential care home in East Renfrewshire.


Scottish Conservative Councillors voted to oppose its sale.
